About UsJohnson Bros was formed in 1913, where their initial work revolved around building residences for the early pioneers in the Wairarapa region, with homes being constructed as far as Hinakura in the east and up to Pahiatua.Commercial buildings such as wool sheds and dairies eventually became a major part of the company's turn over. In 2002, Wayne & Deb Johnson took over the family business becoming the fourth generation of the Johnson family to do so. Through the years, Johnson Brothers has passed through many changes in the building industry. What would the founder, Bill Johnson, make of the company's workshop today? His tools of trade were a hammer and hand saw. What would he make of the power tools, laser equipment, computers, - even a digger for foundations and a hoist equipped truck? Wayne & Deb have continued the Johnson tradition of keeping up with the latest technology. Through the successive generations, Johnson Bros has built up an enviable reputation, built on honesty, reliability, and a guarantee of workmanship. The company enjoys repeat business from many clients as they extend homes and business or build again - one Featherston family claims to have had dealings with all four generations of Johnsons.
